Modern Lamp Shades
All of our modern lamp shades are also known as hard shades, this is becasue the outer fabric is laminated onto a white PVC backing which gives the lamp shade it's shape and strength. Hard lamp shades do not normally have any internal struts joining the top and bottom of the lamp shade together, this type of lamp shade normally only consists of a top and bottom wire lamp shade ring.
All of our modern lamp shades are individually handmade to your exact specification, they can be made in cotton, linen taffeta, silk, parchment or even your own fabric or wall paper
With the ability to replicate most styles of lamp shade we can offer replacement lamp shades for ones that become damaged or worn, which can be a lot more cost effective than replacing the entire light fitting.
We also have the facility to digitally print any design on to the inside or outside of our drum shades which opens up endless options for creating a unique and impressive feature shade.
Traditional Lamp Shades
Also known as fabric lamp shades or soft shades this style of lamp shade is made using the traditional method of stretching fabric over a ridgid wire lamp shade frame, the fabric is then either stitched or glued into place. Once the lamp shade has been lined it is then trimmed top and bottom with braid or fringe to hide the workings and finish the lamp shade.
We offer an extensive lamp shade swatch of Dupions, Silks, Satins and Cottons to choose from or customers can supply their own lamp shade fabric and trim should they wish.
